CAUSE
The CUNY Advancement in Undergraduate STEM Education (CAUSE) program is an initiative of the City College of New York (CCNY) and Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) focused on clinical and translational psychology.

tailored to building a community

This initiative develop research and interpersonal skills, and gain career exposure within clinical and translational (research) psychology. Participating students will be part of learning communities with peers throughout the sequential levels of the program. Become part of this program at Level 1.

Learning Communities

  • ENTRY POINT : 1st year undergrads
  • Students take two courses in cohorts:
    • Exploring Psychology
    • Applied Statistics
  • $300 Stipend

Intro to Research

  • Next Step: Course on research skills training
  • Work on a community-based research project
  • $700 Stipend

PAID Summer Research Internship

  • Apply and build your acquired research skills with the mentorship of a CCNY faculty member in their lab

REU & External Internships

  • Receive support for applying to external programs/internships
